Tami Montgomery has been a member of the Memphis community for the past two decades. Over that time she fell in love with the city & its people. In 2008, she made the decision to open Dru’s Place, a neighborhood bar in the heart of Mid- Town.Opened with the intention of being a positive part of not just the gay community, but of the Memphis Community, Dru’s has opened its doors to many local and national charity organizations raising thousands of dollars for various non-profit groups. Tami is dedicated to making Memphis a better place and has always tried to be there when needed to host an event or help a worthy cause. Never afraid of some good ole fashioned hard work most days (and nights) you will find her at Dru’s working on the next event or as her friends know, her next big idea. A heart of gold and a true love and acceptance of people she has created a melting pot for Memphis. Tami resides in Mid Town with her life partner Lisa McNeil, and together they are as committed to the community as they are each other.
